Description

NGC 5033 is a spiral galaxy with extensive Hubble-type Sc star forming regions in the northern constellation of Hounds. It is estimated to be 41 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years across. The galaxy has an active galactic core with a supermassive black hole. Together with NGC 5005, it forms a pair that influence each other weakly.
